Alicia is a passionate and purposeful leader, with more than 20 years in both healthcare and high tech. She started her career in nursing at Sutter Medical Center, working in various units… peds, oncology, neurology, and the ICU. After 10 years, her passion for learning led her to Intel Corporation, where she spent another 10+ years in various roles from project to program manager, and software engineering manager.
In the last five years of Alicia’s stint at Intel, she found her passion and purpose in diversity, equity, and inclusion. She traveled to Intel sites in the United States, China, Taiwan, India, Mexico, and Poland to drive, mentor, and support programs to improve the representation of women -- specifically, women in STEM careers at all levels of their lives, internally and externally to the company.
In 2016, Alicia made the jump and joined Blue Shield of California, to connect her passion for problem-solving and purpose with the company's mission for improving the healthcare system.
