Molly Zimmer leads the Innovation Center of Excellence at St. Luke’s Health System in Boise, Idaho. She is an experienced presenter, facilitator, design-thinker, and passionate evangelist for the “yes, and!” mindset that allows big ideas to thrive and evolve. She is an educator at heart and spent the first part of her professional life as a high school government and economics teacher, which means she’s really good at making complex, boring topics engaging and relevant, even to the most reluctant of audiences.
In her post-teaching career, she has honed her skills as a change manager, product manager, innovation enabler, and fun injector. Currently, she works to spark and spread a disciplined practice and culture of innovation within the health system. The goal of the Innovation Center of Excellence is to harness the brilliance of all levels of the workforce, give employees throughout the system tools and opportunities to innovate, and share the magic of de-risking potential solutions through recognizing and testing critical assumptions.
